Analyzing the Influence of Text Media

How is the issue framed in the media you selected?

Climate change is a pressing issue widely covered in text media. Often, it's framed as a scientific problem, with articles presenting data on rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and extreme weather events. This framing emphasizes the factual and objective nature of the issue, appealing to readers' sense of logic and reason.

What is the media's possible goal (informing, persuading, or entertaining?

The media's possible goal is a combination of informing and persuading. Articles aim to educate readers about the science behind climate change and its potential consequences. However, they also often present solutions and call for action, urging readers to adopt sustainable practices, support climate policies, or engage in activism.

How do you think this text media can influence readers?

Text media can influence readers by:

Raising awareness: By providing information and highlighting the urgency of the issue, text media can increase public awareness and concern about climate change.

Shaping perceptions: The way the issue is framed can influence readers' understanding and perceptions of climate change, potentially leading to greater support for action.

Motivating action: By presenting solutions and calling for action, text media can inspire readers to take steps to address climate change in their own lives and communities.
